Learning through Experience

A considerable emphasis is given on practical work and projects developed by students with the help of their respective teachers on topics related to Social Studies, Science and Computer Studies.

Computer Training

The students have an access to computers for educational purpose as well as for training in the use of computers.

English Language

Extra ordinary emphasis on learning of English language is given realizing fully that proficiency in English language is a must for achievement at all levels of education.

Urdu Language

Special emphasis is also given on the teaching of Urdu language as this helps to build in children a strong sense of belonging to our cultural roots.

Special Classes of Easy Urdu and Advance English

Special Class of Easy Urdu is arranged for Pakistani students who return to the country after a long stay abroad. Students with foreign passport and not desirous of taking Urdu as a compulsory subject, are given the choice of taking “Advance English” in place of Urdu.

Islamic Studies, Religious Knowledge and Ethics

Considerable emphasis is given on the religious education and moral development of the students. Unlike most English medium schools, The Play School ensures the protection of Pakistani culture and its social and moral values. The subject of Ethics is offered to non Muslim Students.

Educational Psychologists

Educational Psychologists associated with the The Play School take good care of the development of curriculum and teachers’ training programme. They are also members of BOG and advise on administrative and academic matters.

Guidance and Counselling

Guidance and Counselling is provided to the students and parents by qualified psychologists and educational counsellors. This helps children to overcome problems and worries they might face, find clear direction, set reasonable goals and target high achievements in life.

Parents Teachers Meeting (PTM)

Parents Teachers Meetings are regularly arranged and given much importance. Though the parents are encouraged to be constantly in touch with the teachers and the principal regarding the progress of their children, yet the formal meetings are arranged before and after Term exams and autumn tests. Parents are encouraged to view the papers of their children and discuss their problems and difficulties with the teachers.

Central Library

Library has been fully refurbished with a variety of books on different subjects. Students are encouraged to use the library regularly. There is a compulsory library period once a week in which children are expected to select a book of their own choice and read it. This helps in developing amongst children good reading habit. A trained librarian is always there to help / guide children in the selection of books.

Library Card

A non-transferable library card is issued to students of class 1 onward. One book can be issued against this card, at one time. The book has to be returned within a week. In case the book is lost or damaged, it has to be replaced or the payment has to be made by the student. In case the card is lost, a duplicate is issued with a fine.

Class Library

A unique system of “Class Library” has been maintained in the school where students keep and read books on mutual exchange basis.

First Aid arrangements

A first aid box is maintained to meet the requirements of minor ailments / problems that may occur during the school time.

Book Shop

Book shop provides course books, notebooks, stationery, uniform and school badges on competitive rates.


Snacks, tea, juices and soft drinks are available in the Canteen where efforts are made to ensure the basic hygiene and cleanliness.


Transport facilities can be provided on the request of parents through private transporters.

Safe Environment

Unauthorized persons are not allowed to enter the school premises. Similarly parents or other family members cannot visit a class room or meet any student or teacher directly. This is considered absolutely important not only for the security and safety of the students but also for an uninterrupted effective learning process in the class room
